MEET AKEEM PRIESTLEY
Akeem has been blessed by the wonderful game of soccer in so many ways. In his own words " GOD has blessed me with the talent to play soccer and it has given me everything I have achieved in this world. Soccer was my ticket to make a better life for me and my family." Growing up playing soccer in the streets of Kingston, Jamaica was the beginning of his soccer journey. He would go on to represent Vaz Preparatory School, which was his first organized competitive team. He would then represent Harbour View FC which was his first professional contract. During these years he also represented the Jamaica National team at all levels u-15, u-17, u-20, u-23 and would go on to make his senior team international debut with the Reggae Boys at age 19. He accumulated a total of over 50 caps throughout all levels of the national team and scored over 20 goals in all competitions. He then departed to the United States of America on a full scholarship to the University of Jacksonville and later transferred to the University of Connecticut where he received his Bachelor's Degree. Upon completing his college education, Akeem was drafted in the MLS Super draft by Kansas City Wizards. He then went on to play professionally in the United States of America, Azerbaijan, Finland, Guatemala, El Salvador , Bangladesh and Canada. He has won title championships in Jamaica, Finland , Guatemala and Canada, so it's safe to say he has an exceptional winning track record throughout his career. "Soccer is life , soccer is a blessing, I feel privileged every time I step on to the pitch whether it is to play or coach.  I thank GOD everyday for my many blessings that came with this beautiful game. I also want to say a special thank you to my mom who was my biggest inspiration and my number #1 supporter, also my family, friends and fans that have supported me throughout my career." He intends to pass on his wealth of knowledge and experience to the upcoming generation of future stars." Always believe in yourself,  stay focused with a positive mindset and keep pushing towards your goals until you achieve them."
